Hot Issues in ADA and Employment

What are some of the hot issues with respect to the ADA that arise in the employment context? This seminar will explore three of them including: essential functions of the job; telecommuting/attendance; and reassignment.

The program will feature:
Goren William D. Goren of William D. Goren J.D., LL.M., LLC,  in Decatur, Georgia is an attorney ( ), consultant, blogger ( ), and author of Understanding the ADA, fourth edition (ABA 2013), and numerous articles on the rights of persons with disabilities. His practice as does his blog (the blog, Understanding the ADA, was voted an ABA top 100 legal blog in both 2014 and 2015), focuses on understanding the ADA so that the client understands what it means to comply with the ADA and related laws. He is also available for mediation/arbitration services as well.  He was the founder, a founding member, and first president of The National Association of Attorneys with Disabilities. He is also a member of:  the ABA GP Solo Division’s Technology Committee; the ABA GP Solo Division’s Labor Employment/Civil Rights Committees; the Programming Committee of the ABA Law Practice Management Section; the Atlanta Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Labor and Employment/Civil Rights Committees. He has his A.B. from Vassar College, his J.D. from the University of San Diego, and an LL.M. in Health Law from DePaul University. He is licensed to practice law in Georgia, Texas, and Illinois.
